First, hubby was diagnosed with cancer in his lungs; we just don't know yet if it's matastisized from his first cancer, or if it's lung cancer. We'll know on the 3rd, and his options.
Second, my 85 year old Mom went in for knee surgery Monday, and had complications....they broke her tibia when they were putting in the new joint, and is still in the hospital, we're not sure when she's being released. I need to be around to help them out when she goes home.
Third, My bestest friend that I was planning to visit after my little Vegas jaunt is in the hospital with double phenumonia....... I just want her to be OK, and well for her daughter's back surgery.
Needless to say, I've canceled my trip for the time being......
It's not my time yet. but it will be sometime!!

I have 2 nites and 1 day in Vegas!! It' s right before Loyalfest and all the other Criss stuff......total BUMMER!...BUT I did get a ticket to see Believe, so if that's it this time around I'm gonna be happy Happy HAPPY!!!!

Hope to see some of you....I'll be in the evening of the 19th and gone on the 21st....Last name is Pappas (totally Greek) and i'm staying at the Luxor, so give me a jingle if you're gonna be around. I'm just gonna do the tourist thing otherwise.

Hubby is doing as well as he can.....stable and healthier than expected!! But his PTSD had taken over I'm working to make sure the kids understand not to take their Dad's stuff their own; although it's been hard for me not to take some of his comments to heart.....knowing it's all paranoid delusion.
One day at a time, and makin the most of it all.
I hope I can take a break in October and maybe make it to a show in Vegas.

My partner's surgery went better than expected. The surgeons removed a football size tumor, weighing 1 to 2 pounds; they aren't sure yet if it's malignant, but doubt it is. The hard part started after that.....
J had a hard time breathing afterwords because of his COPD and Emphysema. He was doing well when I left to come home on Sunday afternoon. But, this morning I get a call from the doctor telling me they were going to put in a vent. His lungs aren't healing, and he was struggling with his breathing, and he told me that this was what he wanted to do.
So, we'll see what happens in the next few days. It will happen the way it's supposed to.
